Remember Sunday (Full HD)

“Remembering Sunday” to premiere April 21st

A lonely, down-on-her-luck waitress, Molly (Alexis Bledel), meets a handsome, quirky jewelry store clerk, Gus (Zachary Levi), and thinks that maybe – finally — she’s met Mr. Right, in “Remember Sunday,” a new Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation premiering SUNDAY, APRIL 21 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
The more Molly gets to know Gus, the more she’s intrigued by him. But she’s also mystified and sometimes miffed. Gus is absent-minded and preoccupied. Is there already a girlfriend in his life? Is he harboring some big secret? In other words, Molly wonders, what’s his problem? Well, Gus’ “problem” is that three years ago he suffered a brain aneurysm. He’d been a brilliant young astrophysicist; now he’s totally lost his short-term memory. Every day is a brand new day and his life starts anew. And every day when he sees Molly, he’s unable to connect the dots and recognize how, exactly, she fits into his life. But there’s something about this beautiful, sensitive, funny woman that makes Gus fall in love with her all over again – every day.
Alexis Bledel (“Gilmore Girls,” “Mad Men”) describes her character as “searching for her place in life. Nothing comes easy for Molly. She’s barely scraping by financially. It seems highly unlikely she’ll ever achieve her dream of opening up a flower shop. She’s been in a series of lousy relationships.” But Bledel adds, “in the face of all this bad-karma stuff, she’s a very optimistic person. She has an innate sunniness about her.”
According to Zachary Levi (“Chuck,” “Thor: The Dark World”), from the moment Gus’ alarm clock goes off, his life is choreographed by sticky notes “to remind him where he lives, who’s who in his life and what he’s supposed to be doing that day.” Levi continues, “One of the interesting paradoxes of the story… is that I think we all, deep down, yearn to be with someone who essentially falls in love with us every day. That’s what Gus offers Molly. Every time he sees her, he doesn’t really remember her – but he falls in love with her all over again anyway! That’s an amazing and powerful thing.”
Jeff Bleckner directs “Remember Sunday,” which was filmed on location in New Orleans. This is Bleckner’s fourth Hallmark Hall of Fame project. The others are “The Russell Girl,” “Loving Leah” and “Beyond the Blackboard.” The teleplay is from Emmy Award (“Bill”) and Academy Award (“Rain Man”) winner Barry Morrow. The story is by Michael Kase, associate producer of “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” and co-producer of the upcoming Michael Bay feature, “Pain & Gain.”
Christopher Morgan (Hallmark Hall of Fame’s “The Makeover”) is the film’s producer; Brent Shields (“Firelight,” “A Smile as Big as the Moon”) is executive producer. Michael Kase, Joey Plager and George Zaloom are co-executive producers. “Remember Sunday” is from Hallmark Hall of Fame Productions. The film is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to airdate.

Cast Interview

'Mad Men's' Alexis Bledel, Vincent Kartheiser are engaged

After playing adulterous lovers on "Mad Men," Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser are ready for marriage in real life.
Bledel's rep confirms to CNN that the 31-year-old actress is engaged to Kartheiser, 33.
The twosome were first linked last summer, after they were spotted kissing on a mid-June flight from New York to Los Angeles.
According to Us Weekly, they'd been dating for a few months at the time. The magazine reports that Kartheiser popped the question a few weeks ago, and with a sizable ring.
Congrats to the couple! Maybe they can throw a joint engagement/"Mad Men" premiere viewing party when the AMC show returns for its sixth season on April 7.

Alexis Bledel on a '50 Shades of Grey' future, 'Gilmore Girls' past - no 'Bunheads' present

Alexis Bledel has no plans to join the parade of "Gilmore Girls" veterans turning up on "Bunheads."

Amy Sherman-Palladino is the creator-producer of both series, a likely reason behind regular and recent appearances by such "Gilmore" alums as Kelly Bishop ("Emily Gilmore"), Liza Weil ("Paris"), Gregg Henry ("Mitchum Huntzberger"), Chris Eigeman ("Digger"), Rose Abdoo ("Gypsy") and Sean Gunn ("Kirk") on the current ABC Family series airing Mondays.

Though former "Rory Gilmore" Bledel reports there isn't consideration of her joining that list for "Bunheads," at least at present, she maintains that isn't for any lack of affection for her "Gilmore" years.

"When I look back on that time, I'm so appreciative of all that show taught me and made possible for me," she tells Zap2It. "I love all the people I worked with." They include Melissa McCarthy, who was Sookie in the "Gilmore" world. "I'm so happy for her," Bledel says. "She's so talented, it's only right that she have these incredible years she's having. I'm excited to see what else she does."

As for her possible involvement in a "Gilmore Girls" reunion special if it ever happens, Bledel reflects, "I don't know. I try to live in the moment and look forward. I think it would feel like going backward, creatively, to try to reimagine or reignite something that was so real to me at that time. Now, I'm sort of focused on what feels new and different, and what else I can do."

One such venture is AMC's "Mad Men," on which Bledel guest-starred last season as a married woman involved with Pete Campbell (Vincent Kartheiser, Bledel's real-life beau). Another is "Remember Sunday," a "Hallmark Hall of Fame" drama ABC airs Sunday, April 21; it casts Bledel as a waitress in love with a jeweler (Zachary Levi, "Chuck") whose brain aneurysm makes him forget what happened the previous day, resulting in a sort of serious "50 First Dates."

Another possible role for Bledel is one she hasn't been offered formally, though many fans are lobbying via the Internet for her to get it: heroine Anastasia "Ana" Steele in the screen version of "Fifty Shades of Grey," E.L. James' famously racy best seller.

Asked if she has thought about that, Bledel responds with an audible twinkle, "Certainly. And everyone in my life has asked me about it, because once something's online, a lot of people consider it to be factual in some way. I've had to have conversations about it with pretty much everyone at one point or another, but I don't think the script is even finished yet."
